The recent release of an updated programming software and an expanded list of compatible chip models marks two major milestones for Acroview Technology. As a leader in chip programming, Acroview has now added FudanWei Microelectronics’ serial flash FM25F01B-SO to its newly supported models, meaning this chip is now supported by Acroview’s universal programming platform AP8000.
The FM25F01B-SO is a 1M-bit (128K-byte) serial flash memory with advanced write protection mechanisms. The chip supports the standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), dual/quad I/O modes, and the dual-instruction-cycle Quad Peripheral Interface (QPI). It is suitable for mapping code to RAM for execution, executing code directly via dual/quad SPI (XIP mode), and storing voice, text, and data.
The FM25F01B-SO supports page programming instructions for 1 to 256 bytes per operation. It supports single sector/block erase as well as full chip erase. It can also be configured for software protection mode to protect specific areas of the memory. Each sector or block of the device is guaranteed to endure at least 100,000 program/erase cycles.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces for easy networking of multiple programmers. Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers and carry out parallel programming efficiently. In terms of safety, the main unit features an intelligent safety protection circuit that monitors chip placement and circuit connections in real time. In case of abnormal conditions such as chip reverse insertion or short circuits, the unit immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, ensuring the safe operation of both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly improving data transmission and processing efficiency for a smooth and efficient programming process. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the back of the main unit. Users simply save the project file generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the programmer’s physical buttons to select, load, and execute programming, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design reduces dependency on computer hardware, simplifies the workspace setup, and significantly improves operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 uses a modular combination of baseboard and adapter board to extend the main unit’s functionality. The device currently supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including MindMotion, HISILICON, CHIPSEA, GOODIX, ChipON, and more. The types of supported devices are extensive, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, etc., and it is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
