Acroview Programmer Supports Elmos Semiconductor's Brushless Motor Controller E523.52

Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially expanded its compatible device portfolio with the release of its latest programming software. Its core product, the universal programming platform AP8000, now fully supports the E523.52 brushless motor controller from Elmos Semiconductor.

The E523.52 is a programmable high-voltage brushless motor controller suitable for 24V to 48V automotive, industrial, and commercial vehicle applications. The device integrates three half-bridge drivers, one 11V buck converter, two linear regulators, and a 16-bit RISC microcontroller with 32KB of flash memory.

The DC-DC converter efficiently outputs 11V to power the six gate drivers, internal linear regulators, and other loads such as external Hall sensors. The chip features up to 9 configurable I/O pins for easy interface communication with application circuits and external devices. All I/O pins can be sampled by a 12-bit, 1MS/s analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and support direct memory access (DMA). Three self-propelled PWM generators with built-in dead time support multiple operating waveforms. Fully integrated back-EMF paths enable sensorless commutation. The ADC supports auto-triggering, facilitating the implementation of complex commutation control algorithms. The chip's memory can be partitioned into a protected storage area and a field-programmable storage area.

The E523.52 includes an internal temperature detection feature and is packaged in a 36-pin QFN with excellent thermal performance, allowing the driver section to operate reliably at junction temperatures up to approximately 150°C.

The AP8000 host features flexible connectivity with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling easy networking of multiple programmers. This networking capability allows users to synchronously control multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming. For safety, the host integrates intelligent protection circuits that monitor chip placement and connection status. If anomalies such as reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it triggers an immediate power-off protection mechanism, ensuring the safety of both the chip and the programmer. The host is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly improving data transfer and processing efficiency for smooth, high-speed programming. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is located on the back of the host. Users can save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and perform file selection, loading, and programming via the programmer's physical buttons, enabling PC-independent operation. This design reduces reliance on computer hardware and simplifies the setup process, significantly improving operational flexibility.

In terms of scalability and compatibility, the AP8000 uses a modular combination of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively expanding the host's functionality. The device currently supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, and eMMC, and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
