Acroview Programmer Supports SkyWorks’ Programmable Clock Generator Si5391B-A-GM

Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the expansion of its compatible device coverage with the release of a new version of its programming software. Its core product, the universal programming platform AP8000, now fully supports SkyWorks’ programmable clock generator Si5391B-A-GM.

The Si5391B-A-GM is a full-frequency any-output clock generator that integrates a wideband phase-locked loop (PLL) and proprietary MultiSynth™ fractional synthesis technology, creating a versatile, high-performance clock generation platform.

With extremely flexible architecture, the Si5391B-A-GM can generate a wide range of integer and non-integer related frequencies up to 1 GHz across 12 differential clock outputs, while achieving root-mean-square (RMS) phase jitter below 100 femtoseconds. It is specifically optimized for 100G/200G/400G high-speed transmission applications. Each clock output can be independently configured for signal format and output voltage, allowing a single Si5391B-A-GM to replace multiple clock ICs and oscillators, thus realizing a complete on-chip clock tree solution.

The Si5391B-A-GM can be quickly and conveniently configured via the ClockBuilder Pro software. The ClockBuilder™ Pro tool can automatically generate custom part numbers and support free, fast factory pre-programming. The device can also be programmed in-system via I2C or SPI serial buses.

The AP8000 universal programmer, independently developed by Acroview, has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. It supports flexible one-to-one and one-to-eight configuration modes, offers both online and offline operation, and features dedicated programming solutions for eMMC, UFS, and other memory chips. It fully covers the offline bare-chip programming and on-board programming needs of the entire SkyWorks product family. The AP8000 mainframe offers flexible connectivity with both USB and NET interfaces, allowing easy networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming. In terms of safety, the mainframe incorporates intelligent protection circuits that monitor device placement and connection status in real time. Upon detecting reverse insertion, short circuits, or other abnormalities, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism to safeguard both the chip and the programmer. The mainframe is equipped with a high-speed FPGA that significantly enhances data transfer and processing efficiency for smooth and efficient programming. For added convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear panel. Users can save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the physical buttons on the programmer to select, load, and execute programming operations—enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design reduces dependency on computer hardware, simplifies workspace setup, and greatly improves operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the mainframe’s capabilities. The device currently supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, Kingston, and many other well-known brands. Its broad device support covers NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
